St Whites Stone Ltd is an artisan firm of stonemasons based in Northamptonshire.
It originally had workshops in the Forest of Dean and was named after St White’s Road; the location in Cinderford, Forest of Dean where the company was based at the time it was incorporated, which gave it an identity geographically.
St White’s Road was named after the White Friars or Cistercian Monks who had a farm there and were based in Flaxley Abbey which coincidentally, was where our workshop was located.
The company was formed in 2003 following my experiences working in the UK, France, Spain and Mexico on churches, cathedrals and new builds and through these various projects and experiences I came to appreciate the value of traditional methods of stone carving and working by hand.
St Whites Stone Ltd was formed around these strong values and today the company prides itself on its dedication to fine work and quality.
The company has evolved to incorporate the use of more advanced software to translate architectural drawings into CAD 3-dimensional models. With this technology we are able to create precise templates from which we can then cut the stone using our own saws, with the ability to rework drawings based on the clients’ preferences.
We have maintained an excellent reputation for an A to Z service carrying all work through from creating the initial drawings/design and sourcing quarry blocks, all the way to cutting, carving and fixing the stone.
We hope you find the website interesting and should you need any type of stonework doing to a high standard by myself and the team please feel free to contact us.
